Through The 8 Percent, my team and I covered a fashion show by Alabama Blonde held at the Old Melbourne Gaol. Alabama Blonde is a unique fashion brand known for its edgy and avant-garde designs that often draw inspiration from various forms of art and culture.
Objectives
The primary objective was to showcase the creativity of the fashion show using a creative medium. We aimed to capture the essence and aesthetic of the event in a way that resonated with both the audience and the brand’s artistic vision.
Execution
Event Coverage: We attended the fashion show at the historic Old Melbourne Gaol, capturing the distinctive atmosphere and the innovative designs showcased by Alabama Blonde.
Creative Content Creation: To create a piece of content that truly reflected the show’s vibe, we commissioned a French voice-over artist to record a reading of the poem that inspired the collection. This added a layer of depth and sophistication to the video, aligning with the brand’s artistic ethos.
Production: The footage was meticulously edited to blend the visual elements of the fashion show with the evocative voice-over, resulting in a highly creative and engaging piece of branded content.

The branded content for Alabama Blonde achieved significant success:
